                                                                                       Chapter 1
  Dawnkit awoke from her sleep. Patchkit was drooled beside her. She looked up at her mother, Bluefeather. "Mom?" Dawnkit mewed.
Bluefeather woke up. "Yes, Dawnkit? It's a bit early. I'm sure Patchkit would be mad if you woke him up early."
Dawnkit got up. "When will be apprenticed mother? It's been a long time!"
"Soon nutkin. You know.. You look alot like your father, execpt for your bright blue eyes." Bluefeather noticed
"Mom! Stop it!" Dawnkit gushed out. She hated it when her mother did that.
"Oh fine. I wonder when Tawnylegs will have her kits..." Bluefeather asked out loud. "Anyways wait til your brother wakes up. Maybe Darkpaw will come and play with you two."
"Ok!" Dawnkit squeals. She layed back down and dozed off.
Morning rays seeped through the nursery. "Dawnkit!" Patchkit yelled. "Darkpaw said he would take us out to explore camp! Wake up sleepy head!"
Dawnkit blinked and looked at her brother. She looked around for her older brother, Darkpaw. "Where is he?" Dawnkit asked
"He went to do some quick training first. He said when he comes back he take us out!" Patchkit repiled.
"Ah. Maybe he will teach us some moves!" Dawnkit said excitedly.
"Hush you two, Tawnylegs is still sleeping." Bluefeather mewed.
"Oh they are kits, Bluefeather! Let them have their fun!" Brownspot mewed.
"Mother can we go with Dawnkit and Patchkit? Please oh Please Mother!" Hawkkit begged.
"Oh please, Mother!" Brownkit mewed with him.
"What about us!?" Cloudkit mewed. He was the oldest in the nursery, almost 6 moons. His sisters Moonkit and Fernkit napped by their mother's belly.
"You all can come!" Darkpaw's meow came from outside the nursery.
"Darkpaw!" Dawnkit squealed. "How's Ivyfeather? It must be tough  to be the only medicine cat!"
"She's fine. I'm sure she will get an apprentice soon enough." Darkpaw purred. He looked down at Dawnkit, his favorite sibling.
"I think Spottedpaw can help me with you lot." He continued.
